Air Force streamlines bailout with single lead cable
The Air Force has simplified fighter jet bailouts by replacing multiple wires with a single rubber cable that disconnects four leads at once. This replaces the previous tangle of radio, care phone, microphone, oxygen, and G-suit connections. The change speeds pilot egress in emergencies. Also noted is that in 1950 the U.S. heating industry produced 680000 floor furnaces for small homes.
