University researcher killed after street fight near UC
Jesse Earl Woodman a 25 year old University of Cincinnati biology doctoral student and former Marine was knocked down near Victor and McMillan streets and died in hospital. In northern South Vietnam Communist forces ambushed a 121 truck convoy near Da Nang. U S Marines suffered 24 dead and 140 wounded while 57 trucks were wrecked. Mines hit a Marine convoy causing three burned vehicles and 3 Marines killed with 10 wounded.
