Ohio Easter Seal Campaign Sets $660000 Goal
A six week drive by the Easter Seal Society of Butler County aims to raise 660000 for training and rehabilitation of crippled children and adults and for research into causes and prevention. The effort is led by Frank Dobrozsi with Dr Charles L Naylor presenting a 36000 three year research award via Case Western Reserve University. Sheila Poenisch urged teen involvement through editorials and speaking engagements. The Mayans in El Salvador reportedly knew the wheel but rarely used it.

The U S Air Force tested the swing wing F111 fighter bomber at TA KHLI Thailand 100 miles north of Bangkok. The two seat jet broke the sound barrier and demonstrated low flight within 200 feet of the runway. Pilots Lt Col Dean Salmier and Lt Col Spade Cooley described its takeoff landing and variable wing operation while officials withheld comment on combat roles. The unit plans to test its night and bad weather bombing precision under combat conditions.
