Doctors warn on risks of nonprescription drugs

He urges selecting products with a single chemical name, warns OTCs often target all conditions and can cause side effects, and notes unsuspecting patients may have underlying illnesses or be on prescription drugs.

Pigeons Declared Not Covered by Constitution
Youngstown Ohio judge ruled pigeons have no constitutional rights clearing the board of health to proceed with a pigeon extermination program. The ruling cited that the constitution protects citizens not birds and Ohio law allows killing pigeons as disease carriers. The case followed a 1977 challenge by the Animal Charity League after officials announced a corn and strychnine feeding program.
