Rug making a time consuming hobby for Irene Barrs subject
Irene Barr profiles Mrs. W. D. Vorhis of Fleming as a devoted rug maker who, alongside quilting and needlework, has created about 15 two by three foot rugs. A standout is an oriental rug readied over a year from tiny printed instructions, while a daughter and granddaughter helped loom a once-small project into a 12 by 15 foot family centerpiece.
