Government economists and many business leaders describe a plateau fever as the economy lingers on a plateau for months. They warn it may slip rather than rise, influencing debates over tax cuts, spending, and monetary policy.
Pickets led by Vincente Tibbs protest racial segregation at Lincoln Elementary, Englewood. About 492 of 500 students are Black, with daily absences reducing after a two week boycott begun Feb. 26. Tibbs vows continued action despite legal truancy risks.
The dean of students, Dr. Norbert Baumgart, selects 24 students for a new campus advisory board at Wilmington College. He will meet twice monthly for informal talks on campus matters and student affairs. Eight lines of unrelated legal text appear but are not part of the Wilmington item.
Ohio and Kentucky license plates share color schemes causing confusion along the border. Ohio will switch to white on green in 1965 while Kentucky moves from blue on white to blue on white with county names. Also notes a 1962 tax seizure and a divorce notice in Butler County probate filings.
