Eastern Shawnee of Oklahoma tribe has agreements with Monroe, Botkins, Lorain, and Lordstown Ohio for casino projects. Butler GOP seeks to remove Shelton from elections post
The Butler County GOP Executive Committee passed a no confidence vote against Judy Shelton and asked the Ohio Secretary of State to remove her from the county board of elections. The move followed Shelton steering a vote to replace Mosketti with Lynn Kinkaid, amid party tensions and a call for party unity. Shelton, backed by two Democrats, sparked turmoil as Mosketti had announced retirement and then resigned. A 192 to 60 tally delivered the no confidence verdict, though party members noted the vote does not strip her from the board.
