Preventing cavities cheaper than filling them in study
About 25,000 children in 10 U S cities take part in a national three year program funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation testing preventive dental care. The effort, run by the American Fund for Dental Health, uses sealants fluoride and hygiene education to see if prevention lowers costs and improves health.

Skull of Emanuel Swedenborg Sells at Sotheby's for 2925
The Swedish Royal Academy of Science purchased a skull claimed to be that of 18th century writer and theologian Emanuel Swedenborg at Sotheby's for 2925 dollars. The skull, sold by a Welsh collector, is likely to join Swedenborg’s remains in Uppsala Cathedral after his grave was robbed years after his 1772 London death, with the rest of the remains sent to Sweden in 1908.
