Student architects exhibit their wares
Twenty five fourth graders at West Elkton Elementary School built models of early American buildings for an extra credit project. Projects included adobe dwellings for New Spain, New Netherlands villages, and forts from New France. Students spent days assembling with varied materials and arranged them along a hallway map showing where these architectural styles existed in North America. Mrs. Luibel credited the idea to the social studies text.
