Nurses' Aides To Be Activated For Service At Veterans Hospital
Reorganization of Middletown and Franklin volunteer nurses aides for work at the Veterans Hospital in Dayton was announced today. About 250 women with suitable training are ready to serve. Mrs. Correa and Mrs. Crane lead the effort. Evelyn Edelson says the need is desperate due to a shortage of graduate nurses. A meeting is set for March 21 at 8 pm at Mrs. Correa's home to organize the group. 20 aides have already volunteered. Those accepted will be oriented April 10 at Dayton hospital with flexible schedules and shifts of two to eight hours daily through 9 pm.
