Middletown master plan targets east end economic revival
The plan calls for a four to six person economic development staff with authority to broker deals, shovel ready zoning and infrastructure, and focus on redevelopment of brownfields and retail grayfields including Towne Mall. It emphasizes attracting regional investment led by Middletown Regional Hospital's new campus, a $100 million to $200 million project expected to create up to 1,000 high paying jobs as part of a broader effort to spur housing, shopping, and services in a mixed use, multi-area approach.
