Earlham Seminar in the Arts Offers Diverse New York Study
Earlham College's 21 students spent ten weeks in New York in a Fine Arts seminar blending art acting and music. They studied at Columbia and the Art Students League, visited museums, participated in off Broadway and Judson Church programs, and even assisted in ceramics and hospital art projects. The program may become annual and aligns with broader trends in graduate and professional study aspirations among freshmen.

Fall 1965 Young Styles With Zing and Op Art
The feature highlights fall 1965 youth fashion with the Smock Look, high yokes, clung collars, pockets, and ribbons. Op Art prints appear on skirts and dresses as patterns burst with wiggly stripes, dots, and bold checks. Coats get grownup lines, fabrics include Shetland and tweed, and new silhouettes introduce pantsuits and jumpsuits for after school wear.
