Vietnam veteran loses limbs in blast and adjusts to life

Noble Craig, a sergeant in Vietnam, lost his right arm and leg after stepping on a mine on his 12th day in country. He later had his left leg amputated due to gangrene and lost hearing and sight in his right ear and eye. Back home, he reassured his wife Sally and, during recovery, encouraged other amputees while becoming a woodworker and teacher at a local high school shop.

Prisoners of war to be flown home from Hanoi

An advance plane departed Clark Air Base in the Philippines to prepare for later missions to Hanoi. Three Ci41 air hospitals will deliver 106 American prisoners of war and two Thai personnel to a U.S. base for a red carpet welcome.
