No Pay Hike In Budget For County Employes
Butler County commissioners approve a 1964 general fund budget of 2,931,875.50 amid no salary increases for county workers who have not had raises in three years. President Stitsinger says funds are unavailable though raises are deserved, citing increases in elections, sheriff radio, typing, accounting machines, and child welfare costs. Vice President Snyder and Commissioner Reiff express cautious optimism and regret over no pay hikes as budget trims of about 365,000 are required to fit available funds.
