Girl Scout Week Notes New Uniforms To Debut
In 1953 1 756 Middletown area Girl Scouts grew to 3107 with 181 troops as they start Girl Scout Week on March 10. They plan cookies sales for camp Stonybrook development, a 315 acre site with many facilities already built, and the cookie profits fund troop and camp projects. The event features a large Sing on March 17 at Middletown High School and a senior conference in Columbus March 9 10 with talks on Communism. New uniforms roll out September changing Brownies Junior Cadettes and Seniors styles to brown green and two piece outfits respectively.
