Oil firms plan challenge to ICC Alaska pipeline rates
Attorneys for BP Alaska, Sohio, Mobil, ARCO and others vow court action after the ICC ruled the proposed tariffs on the trans Alaska pipeline were too high. The order could boost Alaska tax revenue by about 135 million annually but is temporary pending seven month review. The firms dispute the ruling saying it denies fair returns and may seek federal court relief.
