Club owner bows out of C.C.'s and Alibi venues in bid to sell

Bud Wilmot, owner of C.C.'s Showcase and Alibi's Lounge, quits both clubs saying they won’t pay dividends while arranging leases and a management deal for Bristol's Showclub owner Terry Wolfe to take over C.C.'s building at 2830 Cincinnati Dayton Road. Wolfe plans a Hooters style venue called Wolfie's with live bands. Wilmot will keep Madison Inn at 101 S. Front St. in West Middletown and may exit Alibi's Lounge on Roosevelt Blvd. The sites saw varied acts including Buckeye Pro Wrestling and the Great White charity show in 2003. Wolfe might convert the venue to Bristol's if Wolfie's fails.

Bristol's Show plan shifts as nude club ideas face legal limits

Wolfe outlined a July 7 opening for Bristol's in Monroe, moving away from adult entertainment after discussions with city leaders. Middletown officials obtained a 14 day restraining order to ensure any venue complies with an adult entertainment permit and location rules. The case continues with a July 5 hearing to extend the order, while Wolfe keeps options open for future plans if Bristol's performs well.
