Project 600 reshapes Middletown Works at Armco plant
Armco Steel Corp announces Project 600 at Middletown Works affecting production, offices, and parking as a new Jackson Lane south plant drives changes. A new 3% car park relieves gate traffic, a stainless cenotaph honors WWI and WWII veterans, and a 100 foot flagpole moves near the cenotaph. Two iron gates form a revised entrance set to debut by August. The main office of Middletown Works, built in 1928, gains a three story addition for clerical, metallurgical, scheduling, engineering, and payroll staff with occupancy expected early 1966.
