City Council considers October vote on real estate tax levy
Middletown City Commissioners recessed last night to find funds for the general fund. A 1 mill real estate levy is favored to raise about 225000 for police fire and street services, with talk of an earnings tax if needed. The panel must act by Friday to allow a special October election, likely Oct 1, with cost around 10000. The vote could precede the November 5 regular city election.
