Middletown seeks private food service bids amid budget worries
Food service workers fear outsourcing to Chartwells or Sodexho. District data show the program posted losses in 2002 03 through 2004 05 while bidders project profits for 2005 06. Officials say profits would flow to the district then cover costs of meals supplies and labor.
