Implantable thumb joint developed at University
University of Cincinnati researchers announce the first implantable thumb joint. The device, about the size and weight of a normal joint, uses vitallium and withstands 180 pounds of stress. Developed by Dr. John Dulbleton and Dr. Edward Miller, with English cement for fixation, the project cost funded by the colleges of engineering and medicine.

Nixon estate security costs reach 423000 at San Clemente
