Middletown board to court over unemployment ruling
The Middletown School Board will sue the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services over a ruling that a bus driver can collect unemployment during Christmas vacation. The case, sparked by Amended Substitute Bill 479, tests whether non teaching staff may be paid for two weeks off between terms. If the ruling stands, districts face higher costs and potential changes to Christmas vacations.
