Publicize the good deeds of American youth
A columnist urges the press to spotlight constructive youth achievements rather than delinquencies. He advocates reporting on 4H, YMCA, science groups, language clubs, babysitting and other positive examples to inspire peers, countering the dominant focus on misdeeds and offering a healthier national narrative. This shift could boost civic pride and steer youths toward pro social paths.
