Miami Valley cables to link with HBO via Hamilton satellite
The Miami Valley Cable Co plans a June 26 switch to a Hamilton earth satellite station linking to HBO and the Home Box Office network. The upgrade replaces Home Theater programming in Middletown and Franklin with live sports, films, and specials, including Madison Square Garden events. A second Middletown earth station will be built within two months to handle increased satellite signals. A $1 monthly rate increase for Middletown basic service was requested, excluding the HBO package.
