Sewer hookup costs and plans for Trenton project debated

City Manager Rolfe Wagner projected a $150 hookup figure, with a $350 basic city assessment due later, plus future connection costs. Citizens urged price controls and neighborhood buyer groups, while some urged a city utilities committee. Council approved $150,000 in anticipatory notes, pursued bids for a well field and water tests, and discussed library negotiations, with federal grant uncertainty shaping the project balance.
