Ohio House Puts Abortion Bills And Tax Plan Up For Hearings

In Columbus Republicans push hearings on an income tax bill and two abortion measures. Aimed to fund an over $8 billion two year budget, the tax plan would set a 1.75 percent personal tax at the county level or adopt a state level rate per author. One abortion bill would repeal Ohio’s anti abortion law and another would allow a woman and her doctor to decide, with current law permitting abortion only to save the mother’s life and excluding rape or incest.
