A 24 year old man, Kris Ilo Kogerma Jr., was held for questioning after a shooting at a Berea home that killed his father, mother, and grandmother. A city judge and a city police officer were wounded. no charges were filed immediately.
May wholesale prices increased four tenths of a percent, led by higher farm product costs, easing from April’s jump. Despite the slowdown, consumer prices rose at a slower pace with retail gains still above the wholesale rate, while industrial commodities posted a small advance. In Kentucky crime, Kris Kogerma Sr and his wife Amanda were shot along with Amanda Sode as police investigated the shooting.
Partly cloudy conditions prevail tonight in the Middletown area with a 50 percent chance of rain. Lows near the upper 50s, Wednesday’s high reached 84 with an overnight low of 70, and Friday is forecast for partly cloudy skies and a high in the low 70s with a 20 percent rain chance.

Pittsburgh surgeon says Milko Husar's leg must be amputated above the knee to save his life. Judge Rolf Larsen ordered the operation after doctors testified the patient was unconscious and in danger of death without surgery. Husar, 67, is in critical but stable condition at Shadyside Hospital.
