In 60 Years 900 Melodies Berlin Still Writing Music
Irving Berlin at 78 continues composing, saying he writes to stay a ham. Since his first lyric 60 years ago for Make From Sunny Italy, he has produced more than 900 melodies and still finds inspiration in having a job to do. His latest work includes new songs for the revamped Annie Get Your Gun at Lincoln Center, with a national tour to follow.
