Regrettable Memorial Day Weekend on Ohio Highways
Ohio logged 27 traffic deaths over the Memorial Day weekend as the Ohio Highway Patrol plans tighter enforcement this summer. Col. A B Cook reported more than 5 000 citations and near 2 000 violations daily, with 1 400+ motorists helped. Fatal crashes were linked to failure to yield, driving left of center, excessive speed, and unknown causes.
