Fire damages shed and supplies at Armco East Works

Lords reject plan to abolish death penalty in England
London AP reports the House of Lords defeated a proposal to abolish the death penalty for a five year test period. The Lords voted 181 to 28 against the measure, which had already passed the House of Commons, excluding high treason and piracy from the halt.
