Water line extension eyed for Springboro plans
Village Engineer Dave Morgan presented proposals to extend water lines along Ohio 741 to connect with the high school site and to Red Lion Road to link with Warren County water lines. He urged replacing 8 inch mains with 12 inch mains for peak demand and fire protection, revamping the Heston Spring Creek well for backup supply, and adding a filtration system per EPA to reduce iron deposits. Council also approved a $186,000 High Hazard Safety project on Ohio 73 near Midway Shopping Center with cost sharing among county state and federal partners, and authorized Locust Street gutter, curb, sewer, and pavement plans to be charged to nearby landowners amid opposition from 13 Locust Street residents.
