About ten thousand Communist youths halted their two night sit down near the East West German frontier and moved toward West Germany after agreeing to police checks. They submitted to name listing or medical exams before crossing and headed to Sue main railway station for trains home.
Soviet frontier guards slowed western truck traffic on the Berlin highway at Helmstedt. The slowdown may reflect detentions of four East German barges in Western Berlin canals. Berlin-bound trucks faced engine and chassis inspections, causing backlog at Helmstedt and delaying trips from West Germany.
Edest L. Taylor, 44, died in a hospital today from injuries sustained in a racing accident earlier. The incident involved a fellow employee of the Line Ma- company. Authorities continued to investigate the crash and its circumstances.

Griffin’s ex-brother-in-law assisted in the case as Assistant County Attorney Tom Crossan said the student signed a statement admitting the shooting and blaming it on a long standing grudge with members of his ex wife’s family.

The briefing aims to secure full Justice Department cooperation as secret hearings move to other cities under tight secrecy. A federal grand jury linked a Kansas City murder to a gambling operation amid new inquiry developments.

Charles Murd, aged about 1, was killed in a motorcycle automobile crash in downtown Lima. Hord was riding a motorcycle at the time of the collision with a car and died at the scene.

Soviet delegate A A Soldatov is expected to attend as Russia seeks again to oust the Chinese Nationalists and seat the Chinese Communists. The council is seen rejecting that demand since the General Assembly must decide seating.
Gasoline tanker trailer exploded on Ypsilanti Street in front of Silkwerth Company causing thousands in damage. Windows from a nearby weekly store shattered and a car lot suffered destruction while fire crews and responders contained the blaze. Driver Freakin Pausey of Green Springs escaped injury. no casualties reported.
Cincinnati based sheriffs agents raided five locations in Sharonville and Evendale, seven County, uncovering six slot machines. Five people were charged with exhibiting and gaming devices, including J H Painter and Wilbur Devis, with officials from Sharonville and Reading noted.

Washington AP Secretary of State Dean Acheson faced cool reception from Republicans after a question and answer session in the Library of Congress auditorium.
