Rhodes task force to trim Ohio boards and agencies
Gov. Rhodes forms a 10 member Governor's Task Force on Commission Review to examine about 300 state boards and commissions for usefulness and potential elimination. The panel will report by Dec. 1 and includes senators, representatives, and state officials plus civic leaders. The move aims to curb waste and cut unnecessary state government expenses. Sir Thomas More was tried for treason on July 1, 1535, after refusing the oath of Supremacy to Henry VIII.
