Wade Wright moves from Butler to Middletown, while Keith Howell shifts from Middletown to Butler. Wright has long U S Steel and AK experience, a Ohio State metallurgical engineering degree, and held multiple AK leadership roles. Howell joined AK in 1997 and has led multiple departments before becoming Middletown Works general manager. Curtis Street HQ notes such transfers are common in AKs diverse steelmaking portfolio.
A University of Michigan and NRDC analysis warns Moraine Assembly Plant in Ohio could shutter or cut hundreds of jobs if oil prices rise to 80 a barrel or more.
