South Korean Observer Attends Armistice Signing as Observer

South Korean Maj. Gen. Choi Duk Shin said he attended the armistice signing at Munsan on instructions from President Syngman Rhee in the capacity of observer. He had boycotted talks since May 25 and sat in the first row behind Gen. Clark. Allied truce delegates prepared to leave the camp as the Military Armistice Commission prepared to assume duties tonight. The commission hoped to meet the Communists at Panmunjom tomorrow for the first full meeting to supervise the truce and arbitrate violations.
