Pollution Suit Targets Building Inspectors in Ohio Case

Cincinnati Chapter of the Izaak Walton League files a public nuisance suit in Hamilton County Common Pleas to stop Blue Ash Montgomery and Hamilton County inspectors and commissioners from issuing permits for a new Sycamore Creek area sewage plant. Turrell argues permits are the proximate cause of pollution and seeks to curb access to polluting projects. The case cites the Blue Ash and Montgomery plant and a planned Blue Ash treatment facility due to open Aug. 31, challenging the state board’s authority and urging citizen action against public agencies polluting rivers.
