The market opened lower in fairly active trading in New York. Gulf & Western fell about 1 percent to 45, Teledyne down 1 percent to 100, Cerro off, American Telephone rose about 1 percent to 51, Contain er Corp. up, Seeburg down, and TWA slipping around 1 percent. The AP average of 60 stocks slid 1.6 to 343.2 last Friday.
