Atlantic Being Restored Fastest Yacht Of All May Sail Again
The Atlantic, holder of the 1905 transatlantic record, may sail again. Built for $1 million, she rested in Wildwood New Jersey before 1964 sinking in 30 feet of water. In 1965 Capt Ale Urbel and contractor Raymond Sollberger planned underwater repairs and possible return to service as a dockside gift shop.
