Retail chains with annual sales of $1 million and cross-state purchases totaling $250,000 will see shifts. most new coverage includes those previously earning above minimum. The plan raises wages to $1.15 by Sept 3 and to $1.25 by 1963 with all covered workers at $1.25 by 1965. Exemptions include hotels, motels, restaurants, theaters, and hospitals.

Two Autos Damaged In Collision At Ohio 122 Elk Creek Rd
Two autos were damaged yesterday afternoon at the intersection of Ohio 122 and Elk Creek Road west of Middletown. Linda Kay Lansow, 16, and Donald Curfman, 19, were driving west when Curfman attempted a pass and struck Lansow’s car. A passenger, Vivian Curfman, 48, was treated for shock at Middletown Hospital. no serious injuries to either driver. In a separate incident at 7:15 am on Ben Harrison Street, Douglas Hammond, 18, and Belvin Collins, 28, rear collided as Hammond left a left turn. No injuries. Collins cited for following too closely.

20 Babies Evacuated From Suburban Hospital Fire
Washington AP reports about 20 babies were evacuated from Suburban Hospital in Bethesda Maryland on Tuesday night after a fire in the lower level laundry. Firemen said no one was injured as smoke drifted into two wards for about an hour while nurses carried and wheeled infants to safety in another building. Other patients were moved to sheltered quarters behind fire doors as crews tackled the blaze, which was extinguished in roughly three minutes.

DWI Driver Fined by Hamilton Municipal Court
