Rick Nelson at Americana Amusement Park Keeps Old Sound Alive
At 38 Rick Nelson delivered a cross generation concert dubbed Rock Roll and Remember drawing about 2,500 fans. He played early hits from The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet era such as Hello Mary Lou and Poor Little Fool plus a country touch and a piano rendition of Honky Tonk Woman. The show started late due to sound issues and drew an audience of older fans who danced at sock hops and younger fans hoping for autographs. Car hits pole and garage on Catalpa Drive
A 21 year old woman treated and released from Middletown Hospital after the car she rode in struck a utility pole and a garage on Catalpa Drive. The 1:45 a.m. crash involved Steven R. Adkins 21 of Trenton Franklin Road who drove the car that blew a tire and traveled about 290 feet before stopping against the garage. Adkins was not injured and his car was a total loss.

Girl with Epilepsy Wins College Grant in Page Story
Kimberley Jeffery, a Middletown High graduate, wrote a Page story about her epilepsy discovery last August.
