Ohio Enacts Escape From Prepaid Entertainment Contracts
A new Ohio law lets buyers cancel prepaid contracts for health spas dating services karate classes and similar offers within seven days of signing or three days after first service receipt. If the seller refuses a valid cancellation the buyer may seek refunds plus damages. The measure applies to contracts over 200 dollars or longer than one year and requires a signed copy for the buyer plus a notice of cancellation.
