Snowden seeks Russian asylum as flights stall at Moscow airport
Edward Snowden met Friday with human rights activists in Sheremetyevo transit zone and said he would seek Russian asylum, at least temporarily, before moving on to Venezuela, Bolivia or Nicaragua. Russian migration officials said no asylum request had been received as of Saturday. The White House condemned the meeting as propaganda for a fugitive leaker. U.S. and Russian officials spar over neutrality and treatment.
