A Toledo Ohio man John G Spirko 23 is held in Kenton County jail without bond after being bound to the grand jury for the strangulation of Covington woman Myra Ashcraft 73 He appeared in court Saturday and said he would be defended by F Lee Bailey Spirko was arrested in Flint Michigan and returned here Also held in Toledo for extradition is his 16 year old girlfriend Shirley Mae Caughhorn charged with murder in the case

Car Burns On Kiester Road In Madison Township
A 1960-model automobile owned by Jesse D. Wilson of Dayton exploded in flames six tenths of a mile south of Kiester Road on Ohio 4. Wilson escaped injury after pulling off the road and attempting to put out the fire with dirt. North Madison firefighters responded. the car valued at $800 was destroyed.

Man Hit On Head Robbed In County Park
Lester Sizemore, a 44 year old College Corner man, said four youths offered a ride to Oxford then drove him to Camden and the Four Mile Creek Road park where a bottle was used to strike him and a revolver held to his back. He suffered head lacerations but did not require medical care.
