Care center gains approval
Bethesda Hospital won tentative backing from the Northern Subarea Council for an ambulatory health care center to serve southern Warren County. The 16 to 3 vote leaves CORVA board approval pending. The center would sit on old Ohio 4 across from Countryside YMCA with a 24 hour nursing staff and on call physicians, coordinating with Bethesda Hospital for hospital care. Supporters say it eases physician shortages and broadens services. opponents worry about duplicating existing or soon planned care.
