Successful Investing Hospital Bonds by Roger E Spear
In this discussion the types of school and hospital bonds are explained. Public school bonds finance improvements via underwritten municipal issues with tax exempt interest. Publicly supported hospital bonds may also be tax exempt if the hospital is a community beneficiary. Hospital bonds issued independently by private hospitals may offer higher yields but are not tax exempt. Marketability varies as some municipal issues face sales resistance and privately sold hospital bonds may be hard to resell or redeem.
