Roger L. Downing of Columbus told the Exchange Club in Manchester that personal credit is worth more than cash in the jeans. He defined credit by character capacity and collateral, stressing character as the key trust measure and noting collateral is least essential. He urged wise use of credit and cited lenders ready to extend cash in exchange for a portion of one’s personal credit.
