Guilty verdict in area man's mace assault case
Ralph Babb of Hamilton was found guilty of assault with a dangerous weapon by Butler County Common Pleas Court. The 34-year-old defendant struck meat salesman R. Hanmer with a 24 inch wooden mace on Oct 18 1968, after following him from Ohio 4 and Grand Boulevard. Hanmer testified he was severely injured and carrying about 12000 in checks and cash. Judge Arthur J. Fiehrer ordered a pre sentence investigation and set no disposition date.

County Seeks Dismissal of Newest Robb Petition
Hamilton prosecutor Richard J. Wessel filed in common pleas court to dismiss a second amended petition by clerk Edward S. Robb Jr. The motion aims to end the latest challenge in the county commission dispute. A hearing is set for next Monday at 11 am before Judge Arthur Fiehrer.
