House of the Week Plan HW-8A Reflects Women’s Housing Choices
The House of the Week features Design HW-8A based on 103 women from the Women’s Congress on Housing in Washington. Architect Rudolph A. Matern notes the plan prioritizes three bedrooms, a family room near the kitchen, a rear kitchen window, multiple storage spaces, and a potential future garage, reflecting practical, comfortable living beyond ornate design.
