Bow And Arrow Used In Slaying Of Grandmother
Harold Shamblin a 17 year old Sioux City youth accused in the bow and arrow killing of his grandmother Gail Bachert 71 is returned from North Dakota to face a murder charge. He waived extradition in Dickinson North Carolina and was brought back by Sioux City authorities. Bachert was found dead Wednesday in her basement with an arrow in her chest. Shamblin had lived with her until he joined the Army January 1. He was arrested Wednesday night on Interstate 94 near Dickinson after a motorist saw a car linked to Mrs Bachert and Shamblin. Investigators found camping gear and a bow and arrows in the car.
