Noon Prayer Meetings End in New York Faith Service

The Fulton Street noon prayer gatherings in the financial district end after 103 years. Once drawing as many as 1300 to the Old North Dutch Reformed Church, only 14 attended the final meeting in a dingy loft. Attendees included a converted Jew, a former Catholic, and a Negro deacon. The Collegiate Reformed Church halted the service citing self perpetuating enthusiasts and trumpets style evangelism taking over.
